Online Alpaca Auction
New this year!
Each alpaca that you have entered into any of the GCG Competitions (Halter, Fleece or Spin-off) can also be entered into the Online Auction that will take place during the Show.
Step 1: Decide which of your competing alpacas you'd like to enter into the Auction.
Step 2: Download and fill out the Online Alpaca Auction Form [PDF] [Word].
Step 3: Enter the number of alpacas you are entering onto the Exhibitor Registration Form along with your other entry fees, and include $50 per alpaca with your payment.
Here's how the Auction will be run.
When your form and payment are received, your alpaca will be entered into the Auction. The Auction Form requests both your Minimum (Reserve) price and your "Buy it Now" price.
People can start bidding on alpacas as soon as they are posted. If someone pays the Buy It Now price, the sale will be completed and the animal will be removed from the Auction. This could happen before the weekend of the Show.
During the Show, each Color of the Auction will be closed as soon as the last Class in that Color is over. The Show will start with Group Classes and then move into the Color Classes, starting with Black. Thus when all of the Black classes are done (M & F, Huacaya & Suri), the Auction will close for all of the Blacks. And so forth for each Color.
