ATTRIBUTES: Low maintenance no- muss, no-fuss production female. Solid and dependable producer of healthy and thriving cria. Brings fineness, uniformity, and consistency to the fiber equation. Great disposition.
PRODUCTION FEMALE TRAITS: Solid Foundation Female. Most foundation herds have their matron and "Rondezvous" is ours. When it comes to a production female "Rondie" has it all. Easy breeder, maintains her pregnancies, unassisted births, abundance of milk, maintains weight while nursing, attentive, and her cria are strong from the get-go. Basically a low maintenance, no-muss, no-fuss production female. If you are looking for a solid, dependable producer you have found it in Rondie.
PHENOTYPE: Rondie is medium-sized, well-balanced, with strong straight legs. She carries herself with a great deal of pride and has large luminous eyes that will melt your heart.
FIBER: To do right by Rondie, I have to break her fiber characteristics out separately. When we purchased Rondie she was 7 years old and did not come with histogram results. Her 2005 cria, Valedar's Prince (WH) maintains one of the best "fiber stats" of our herd.
2006 Fiber Results: Micron 18.1 SD 3.4 CV 18.8 >30% 0.9
2007 Fiber Results: Micron 17.7 SD 3.5 CV 19.8 .30% 0.8
2008 Fiber Results: Micron 20.1 SD 4.4 CV 21.9 .30% 2.2
Her 2007 cria Sundance Kid (MF) fiber stats are just as impressive especially when you consider he is a Medium Fawn
2008 Fiber Results: Micron 22.5 SD 4.1 CV 18.2 .30% 3.7
2009 Fiber Results: Micron 20.3 SD 4.3 CV 21.5 .30% 1.9
Both of the sires are known for fineness but we wanted to know what Rondie was bringing to the equation. In 2009, at 11 years old, we ran our first hi
