Temptress (Tempi) is our only home-grown dam left out of Hemingway's Bogart and for that reason will stay a breeder here at Colusa Riverside Ranch. Bogart's genetics in this dam are so significant due to the fact his fineness and longevity of fineness carries through to his all his offspring. She has density of fiber that is outstanding. Rumor's Spring Eternal is a nicely fleeced yearling. Her first Histogram came with an AFD of 24 microns as a juvenile. Not sure how this could happen given her Sire and especially her dam being in 1% for AFD. Her dam carries one of the finest fleeces on the farm. She has an exceptional SDAFD. I think maybe her nutrition might have been affected somehow. I expect her yearling fleece this spring will bring much better results for AFD. She does not carry the density of most of our dams. I Springs EPDs are quite good with all but one in the 5-15% range. Totally respectable values for a breeding dam. Her accuracies are only between 1 to 2+.
